We're working with a long-established, commercial foodservice design-build company in the NYC area that has grown significantly in recent years — and they've created a new leadership seat to own project management across the business.
This isn't a traditional PM role. It's a newly created seat, driven by growth, where you'd bring the structure and accountability the function needs as the company scales.
What the role actually is:
• Leading a 50+ person organization across project management, design and estimating, with a direct line to senior company leadership
• Bringing structure, accountability and in-office discipline to a talented, fast-growing project management team
• Owning project execution across commercial foodservice builds — from design concept through health-department sign-off
• Being fluent enough to "talk the talk" across design, estimating and the field, even where you're not the hands-on expert
• Helping shape the future structure, roles and capabilities of the function as the company keeps scaling
The person who will thrive in this role, will have led multidisciplinary teams, stepped into long-tenured groups and earned credibility fast, and spent real time in foodservice design-build, commercial kitchen consulting, or in a major mechanical/HVAC space.
This is a high-ownership role. You're not inheriting a finished machine — you're bringing the leadership and structure that lets it scale.
The role is based in Manhattan and is full-time, onsite.
